Community Outreach


St. Anne's is committed to serving our community. Our outreach includes, but is not limited to the following:

  •        Tabitha's Table - donated food, paper products, etc.  for this local area "faith based" community food bank. (Coordinated by Joe and Judith McFarland)


  • Prayer Shawl/Chemo Caps - handmade shawls and caps for local needs and various community organizations. (Coordinated by Sandy Peck)



  • Other Group Meetings Held at St. Anne's -

>Maple Avenue group meets in the Parish House two evenings a week.

> Cub Scout Pack #14 meets alternate Tuesday/Thursday evenings Sept - Jun). Jen Miller - Leader.  Check Facebook page - Smithsburg Cub Scouts Pack 14 for more details.

Basket for Habitat for Humanity -

​The basket to be donated to HFH has been completed.  The theme for this year's event is "Homes For The Holidays".  Thanks to all those who contributed items and/or monetary donations which enabled us to put together a beautiful basket for the auction.

​Our appreciation to Cheryl, Judith & Rick for coordinating this year's project on behalf of St. Anne's.

February 4, 2018 - Scout Sunday

Special service honoring the Scouts, their leaders, families and friends.  10am

​February 14, 2018 - Ash Wednesday Service

​The evening service will be held at 7pm.  Everyone is invited as we begin the season of Lent.

February 18, 2018 Annual Parish Meeting​ ​ will be held in the Parish Hall immediately following the morning worship service.  Our Advisory Board hopes that all members of the Parish will attend this important yearly discussion.

February 26, 2018 ​ - Monthly Advisory Board Mtg. in the Parish Hall at 7pm.














Preemie "OctoProject" - St. Anne's donated 10 crocheted Octopus "babies" to Jacqui's Preemie Pride in Smithsburg.  These little critters are going to the Frederick Memorial Hospital NICU to comfort premature babies.  (these octopi were handmade by parishioner, Cheryl) 

Prayer Shawls Available -  Hand crocheted prayer shawls have been blessed  any are available for anyone who may need to be enfolded in the love, safety, and strength of God.  They are available (at no charge) to be given to anyone who may benefit.  Often shawls are used for those with illness, loneliness, grief, sadness, and times of confusion or indecision.  If you know someone who could use this meaniful gift please contact Sandy Peck or select one from the current shawls placed under the altar. (The shawls are made by Sandy P. through the St. Anne's Prayer Shawl Ministry Outreach)
